Empathic design is at the core of PassiveLogic’s approach to product development. As the Head of Product Design, you will oversee the development of design and lead our digital and physical product design teams with a holistic and curious approach.

We are looking for the rare practitioner who can balance the needs between expansive thinking and the execution and refinement of products in flight. You will be a design leader who not only holds ambitions that build upon our unprecedented innovation, but also has an understanding that it takes a multidisciplinary team to change the world. You should be passionate about elegant, system-level, user-centric design expressions of cutting-edge technology in both the physical and digital spheres.

Responsibilities:

-You will be responsible for an ecosystem of products that spans autonomous systems hardware, sensor and IoT devices, and the UI/UX of a portfolio of large-scale software applications -Bring to life our future-forward vision and execute the digital and physical design strategy for the company, with an intense focus on human-centered interfaces so that every aspect of the product - visual, physical, haptic, and audible — all align for an incredible user experience -Work closely with the CEO through every stage of the product development and design process -Lead and inspire members of the Digital and Physical Product design teams which includes junior and senior industrial designers, mechanical engineers, UI/UX designers, and graphic designers -Define, develop, and maintain a clear and consistent design system that considers every detail of the product experience Lead the entire end to end user experience with design that remains coherent across our integrated ecosystem of hardware and software products -Conduct effective design reviews and charettes, working collaboratively with leadership and other design teams -Collaborate with our 13 engineering teams and stay immersed in industry and user needs
