Role description

As a Sr. Data Scientist, you will lead the implementation of cutting-edge machine learning, AI, graph, and network models to analyze and evaluate corporate supply chains, enabling Muir’s core services to more accurately and rapidly assess supply chain emissions and identify reductions. The role includes understanding and working deeply with supply chain data, developing data pipelines and strategies, designing and implementing models, justifying results, and deploying across Muir’s services. You will work with the CTO to build a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, helping shape the future of the engineering team and company writ large.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of stochastic and deterministic supply chain models that power Muir’s core services.
  • Build the architecture for data management, modeling, and deployment.
  • Research and implement pertinent modeling and analysis techniques for supply chain modeling.
  • Collaborate with data, software and product engineers to deploy models across the Muir Intelligence Platform’s services.
  • Deeply understand the needs of medium-to-large enterprise customers and tailor solutions to meet and exceed these needs.
  • As an early engineering hire, be able to wear many hats, help develop across the data and product lifecycle ### Qualifications
  • Proven experience building and deploying data analysis / machine learning models for large, complex tasks.
  • Deep knowledge of supply chain, trade, and logistics data, and experience developing models in this space.
  • Strong statistical analysis and predictive modeling skills,
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and a level of comfort with early-stage ambiguity.
  • Bias for action and ability to iterate are critical.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Seattle area.
