Your role at zolar

As a Product Designer at Zolar, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our user experience and contributing to the success of our e-commerce platform and configuration tools. This will include:

• Focusing on the entire design process, from initial research and ideation to refinement and implementation for all customer facing products (from first touch point till checkout)
• Collaborating with the product manager to research and gain a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities we have along the customer journey
• Gaining a deep understanding of user problems in each step of the customer journey and helping define what research needs to be done to make more informed design decisions.
• Planning and moderating usability tests to gather valuable insights to incorporate these into your designs.
• Spotting design issues and proposing practical solutions that simplify complex tasks for our customers.

• Creating innovative and user-friendly designs for all steps along the customer journey

  Your responsibilities

• Being an integral part of an agile squad, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers and being active part of the Product Design Team.
• Prioritizing and designing improvements to guide the product development.
• Being all about user-centered design, which means always thinking about what our users want and need first.
• Planning and moderating usability tests to gather valuable user insights.
• Creating exceptional and consistent experiences for our website (includes different other tools like a survey tool and a product configurator) users.

What You Will Need to Bring:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Proven experience as a Product Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work across the design process.
• A strong commitment to user-centered design principles, including understanding the needs, preferences, and limitations of users.
• Validating and evaluating design solutions by creating wireframes and prototypes using Figma, and utilizing analytics data to drive strategic visions and actionable recommendations.
• 4-6 years of experience with product configuration and e-commerce tools (Pleaser highlight that in your portfolio)
• Fluency in both German and English, with the ability to support UX copywriting efforts.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
