What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:

The City of Groveland is one of the most rapidly growing cities in Florida, known as ‘The City of Natural Charm and Unlimited Possibilities. Woodard & Curran operate and maintain the utilities for the City of Groveland. The Maintenance Chief is “hands-on” position responsible for supervising and coordinating the maintenance crew at the Groveland Facility and ensuring that work is performed in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures. This position plans, develops, organizes, schedules, and supervises and may participate in all routine, preventive, and corrective mechanical, electrical, instrumentation maintenance activities. Position is responsible for coordination across multiple trades on complex projects, including but not limited to, solicitation, procurement, scheduling, budgetary control, and documenting project completion This role reports directly to the Facility Assistant Project Manager. Schedule:


Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00a.m.-3:30p.m. Flexibility and extended shifts to meet the seasonal demands of the water system. Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position. Availability for standby duty and the ability to be “on-call,” working evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Response to emergency events and alarm call-outs required as scheduled and required.
