What success will look like for you, as an Propulsion Test Engineer?

As an, Propulsion Test Engineer, you will be responsible for development of test rig software, human machine interfaces and data management systems. Some elements of “hands on” work will be expected, with the assistance of our skilled technicians. Driving and leading test operations in a dynamic, responsive environment at Vertical’s Ground Test Facility, in support of our ambitious Flight Test Program, and at other locations as required.

You will be expected when required to assist with other, non-rig, test planning and activities, this could also involve flight test support. Being an integral part in collaborative planning, delivery and reporting for company rig test activities. Likely rigs include, structural, propulsion, sub-assembly, “iron bird”, and whole-aircraft setups.

You will be able to work in dynamic innovative teams, building positive working environments and diplomatically resolving challenges to programme delivery, supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capabilities.

What would we like you to bring.

We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have proven experience working on Propulsion testing and rapid development programmes, maturing new technologies. Additionally, you will need good skills / knowledge of aerospace testing methods, instrumentation/calibration requirements, health and safety considerations, data acquisition and certification based activities. As well as good working knowledge of standard laboratory and workshop tools. Ideally you will have gained this experience from either Aerospace or Automotive sectors.
