Job Description

Join the Test Team based in Kemble as a Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer (Test) and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.

What success will look like for you, as a Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer (Test)?

As a Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer (Test), you will be responsible for working closely with the structures function and numerous product teams to identify the structural test needed and develop pragmatic plans to provide the results on-time. As part of your responsibilities, you will identify analysis solutions, recommend improvements, or suggest alternative methods. This includes reviewing drawings, designs, concessions, and repairs.

You will be working closely with a variety of engineering teams, both in-house and external suppliers, customers, airframers, regulatory bodies, and other industrial organizations. Your role involves active participation in audit reviews, presenting information as needed, and engaging in product validation.

You will report directly into the structural test team lead, and will be supporting numerous structural and propulsion test rig projects, supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capabilities.

What would we like you to bring.

We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have proven experience working in a test engineering environment, specifically in mechanical test analysis. Additionally, you will need good skills / knowledge in hand calculations, using classic static/fatigue stress analysis techniques. As well as good working knowledge of designing metallic parts using Catia 3DX and be able to work competently with FE tools (Hypermesh, Optistruct). Ideally you will have gained this experience from either Aerospace or Automotive sectors.
