Job Description
At Verterra Energy, we're on a mission to harness the power in the world's rivers, canals and oceans. To accomplish this, we are commercializing our first device called VOLTURNUS, a pioneering water-power technology that deploys in harmony with the current to capture baseload, zero emission electricity. Backed by top-tier investors and a multi-year government contract, we are growing our founding team to help achieve key milestones.
We're seeking a CNC Programmer to create, maintain and deploy CNC programs in the fabrication and development of VOLTURNUS components including critical structures, tooling and fixtures.
Requirements
- A technical degree and/or professional experience creating CNC toolpaths
- Ability to write and optimize CNC programs to create parts on 3 to 5 axis HAAS machines
- Ability to operate 3 to 5 axis HAAS machines
- Ability to manage your own time when working on multiple projects and with various deadlines
- Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions within a set of guidelines
- Knowledge of basic inspection equipment (Micrometer, Caliper, Optimal Comparator, Gage pins, etc..)Display evidence of exceptional abilities
Nice to Have:
- Recent experience with 2D/3D (surfacing) toolpaths
- Understanding of metalworking, fabrication and welding
- Experience with Solidworks

The below-range represents Verterra Energy’s current good-faith pay scale for this role, we reserve the right to modify or update this range at any time. Compensation is only one part of our entire total rewards package.

$60,000 - $80,000 USD
