Job Summary

As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of urban transportation. We are seeking a highly creative and experienced designer with a strong focus on fleet design to lead our industrial design initiatives. You will be responsible for the conceptualization, design, and development of our electric scooter products, ensuring they meet customer needs, company goals, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design process for our electric scooter products, from initial concept to final production.
• Develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs that enhance the user experience and align with brand strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, supply chain, and sustainability, to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
• Conduct research and analyze trends in mobility and materials to inform design decisions.
• Create detailed design specifications and presentation materials to communicate your ideas effectively.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design solutions.
• Stay updated with industry developments and integrate relevant advancements into product designs.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of industrial design experience, with at least 3 years in fleet design for the transportation or mobility sector.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design or a related discipline.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as CAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling tools, and rendering tools. Experience in prototype building.
• Product Roadmap: Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in product aesthetics, usability, and ergonomics.
• Product Execution: Proven track record of successful product launches in a similar industry.
• Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Start-Up Experience: Prior experience in a start-up environment, with proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Hybrid Role: Must currently reside or be relocatable to a commutable distance from our Santa Monica Headquarters. The role will require 3 days a week, at minimum, in office.
• Global Impact: Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive Compensation Package that consists of a base salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 + Annual Performance Bonus + Equity (Stock Options) + Full Range of Benefits.
• Veo is a total compensation company, and pay is determined by geographic cost of labor and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training - so not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
• Our total compensation package for this role, including bonus potential, ranges from $110,000 - $135,000
