Join our team as an Employee Relations Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving strategy and action on a wide range of employment related items. Responsibilities:

  • Conducts timely, thoughtful, thorough, confidential investigations into a range of employee concerns, including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, and other violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Respond to employee issues/concerns regarding policies and disciplinary actions and provide feedback to managers to ensure appropriate action is taken.
  • Ensures consistency in the interpretation and application of HR policies and practices across the organization.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of regulations and obligations, with a focus on mitigating legal risks and ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Create and update HR policies and procedures that drive compliance and align with business objectives; conduct trainings on compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the Head of People and Leadership team to provide counsel and facilitate prompt and effective resolution of workplace concerns.
  • Analyze employee relations trends with Leadership and help develop proactive strategies, solutions, programs and policies.
  • Collaborate with and prepare relevant information with legal counsel as needed to address complex issues.
  • Provides guidance, expert interpretation of policy, and training to the company to minimize potential adverse impact of compliance issues and complaints.
  • Review incoming personal injury claims, investigate claims and details of the claims.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 5 years of experience with workplace investigations (preference for experience investigating allegations of harassment, discrimination and retaliation); Master’s Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, which govern employment policies and practices
  • Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards
  • Experience successfully implementing programs across geographically distributed teams
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
  • Strong business acumen
  • Evidence of exceptional ability
