WHY VEIR?

Giving everyone in the world access to clean, reliable, affordable energy will require substantial expansion of global electricity transmission networks. VEIR is developing a new generation of High Temperature Superconductor (HTS)-based transmission lines, enabling long distance, reliable, low loss, cost–effective power transfer in far smaller right–of–ways. VEIR’s innovations overcome the main barriers to transmission expansion, enabling the world to access the very lowest cost renewable power.

THE ROLE:

The Transmission Planning Engineer will be responsible for building and leading power flow studies representing VEIR’s superconductors for our growing customer pipeline. You will work closely with our growth strategy, commercial, regulatory, and product development team members, as well as with customers and external partners, to continuously evaluate and improve VEIR’s transmission study process. The ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and continuously adapt are essential skills for this role. VEIR seeks an individual who is excited about modeling transmission systems and the ability to apply them to highlight the value of VEIR’s innovative hardware technology.

This position is expected to be based at VEIR HQ in Woburn, MA; we are willing to consider hybrid or remote locations for well-qualified candidates.
