To get to zero emission in 2050 the world needs to be electrified rapidly. New electrified vehicles and energy systems rely heavily on batteries and require the right solutions to scale-up successfully. TWAICE is leading the market of battery analytics software with cutting edge and industry-leading technology. As our Head of Solution Engineering (m/f/d), you will play a crucial role in making our customers successful and making a deep impact on the company.

Our Solution Engineering team creates value for our customers by mapping their business challenges to the TWAICE solution portfolio and presenting this via engaging stories. As part of the Sales team, they work together with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate business into technical requirements and back into value for our customers, based on the TWAICE predictive analytics platform.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Solution Engineering (m/f/d) that will help us lead and grow the global Solution Engineering organization.

This exciting role requires both business and technical acumen as well as excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Location: Munich or remote anywhere in Europe

  • Developing and executing a global pre-sales strategy, aligning with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing global Solution Engineering team, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance.
  • Defining and managing the technical sales process in a highly complex environment.
  • Collaborating with the company's Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams to ensure products and services meet customer needs and are effectively communicated in the marketplace.
  • Working closely with the Sales team throughout the pre-sales process, including support for preparing proposals and developing strategies to win customers.
  • Developing deep product knowledge of TWAICE Battery Analytics Solutions and applying it to help our customers solve their toughest battery problems.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value that resonates with C-level expectations.
  • You are a TWAICE storyteller, able to coach your team on delivering engaging product demonstrations, both in person and virtually, to support sales, business development and general thought leadership activities.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing and developing technical pre-sales teams, ideally in deep tech, SaaS companies.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical pre-sales role as a Solution Engineer, Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, ideally in SaaS companies.
  • You bring international experience from former roles, e.g. intensively working within global teams or having led them.
  • You are used to leading teams based in different locations or remote.
  • Direct experience in the battery industry or a related field is a definite plus.
  • As an excellent communicator you are able to communicate on all different levels inside an organization and as such you easily become the trusted advisor from project management to the C-Suite.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both face-to-face and in writing, are among your strengths.
  • At the same time, you are able to talk to technical teams at eye level.
  • Speaking of which, you are fluent in English.
  • If you can speak German - super - if it’s any other European language - super as well!
  • You can easily manage, prioritize, and successfully complete multiple projects in parallel.
  • You are enthusiastic, proactive, positive, customer- and service-oriented.
