Job Description

We are tackling global plastic pollution - and you will be a part of the solution!

With our innovative technology, we turn plant leftovers of the agricultural industry into a novel sustainable biomaterial - biobased, plastic-free, and compostable. A material that leaves no harmful traces. With this, we want to replace as many plastics as possible, and this is where you come in.

As our Quality Control Technician (f/m/x), you will be responsible for scientific support by maintaining an efficient and exceptional quality assurance system in the laboratory as well as by performing in-process sampling and testing, laboratory housekeeping, sampling retention and stability test, reporting, among other valuable techniques. Your support helps us to develop traceless into the market leader in the field of compostable biomaterials.

Since we rely on continuous quality control throughout our production hours, willingness to work in shifts is essential for this role. Shift schedules are coordinated closely within the team – fairness and predictability are key for us.

  • Conduct quality control testing for incoming materials, ensuring the product meets specifications, and updating the system for Raw Material product release.
  • Plan and execute testing for all in-process material at different intervals of production.
  • Plan and conduct all laboratory quality control activities/assays for finished products and product batch release.
  • Perform data analysis of the batches produced, product release for all PRE and POST formulations and provide with updates to all relevant groups when necessary.
  • Assisting scientists and engineers in ongoing experiments and tasks when needed for quality projects.
  • Sample storage and inventory maintenance.
  • Collect and maintain data and samples related to ongoing projects.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance inspections at production level, and laboratory level such as calibration records, Preventive Maintenance records, etc.
  • Maintenance of laboratory work environment.
  • Present results and observations to team members via quality reports, and certificates of analysis for batch release.
  • QC support in process improvements, R&D and Operations with respect to quality processes and monitoring checks.
  • Prepare samples and performance of test for Flavor analysis (Taste and odor), updating data base accordingly
  • You have completed a vocational training as a chemical/laboratory technician, with at least 1 year of laboratory experience OR
  • You have a university degree in a scientific discipline with at least 2 years of laboratory experience
  • Proficiency in the execution of product analysis using internal routine quality checks incl. analysis/interpretation of the measurement results such as NIR, mechanical tests, MFI, compositional analysis, and other laboratory assays.
  • Attention to detail, organized and methodical skills.
  • You can manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • You can establish harmonious and effective working relationships
  • You are also practically minded and do not shy away from getting your hands dirty
  • You think innovatively & solution-oriented, are a team player and have a sense of humor
  • You are highly proficient in both spoken and written German
