Job Description

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious mission: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.

More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet. 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss.

Through our marketplace app, we connect businesses that have unsold, surplus food, with consumers who can buy and enjoy it at ⅓ of retail value. We are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste. Alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

We’re growing fast: Our community of 90+ million registered users and 215,000+ active partners across 18 countries, have together already saved 312+ million meals from going to waste - avoiding almost 843,000 tonnes of CO2e!

Too Good To Go was named in FastCompany’s March 2022 list of the World's Most Innovative Companies, and was honoured to be included in TIME’s list of the 100 Most Influential Companies of 2022.

Your Mission:

The Logistics Specialist role assumes responsibility for our logistics operation within a given market (Netherlands & Belgium). In this role, you will work closely with our 3PL’s and other logistics partners, ensuring costs are tightly controlled and that the customer is at the heart of what we do. You will report directly into a Regional Logistics Manager and will work in a small but motivated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • * Responsible and accountable for the daily planning, management and optimisation of all logistics, transportation and warehouse related activities within your market, including collaboration with 3rd Party Logistics (3PLs) and fulfilment partners.
  • Ongoing performance management of 3PL’s and fulfilment partners within your market, ensuring exceptional levels of performance and adherence to agreed SLA’s.
  • Tight grip on inventory, working with the 3PL and Manufacturing colleagues to ensure financial losses are minimised and that accuracy is optimised at all times.
  • Responsible for logistics planning to ensure periods of significant growth can be accommodated without disruption and that the supply chain is resilient to changes in market conditions and peak trading activity.
  • Ensure tight cost control at all times, working tirelessly within your market to ensure end-to-end supply chain costs are optimised.
  • Collaborate closely with global and local stakeholders within TGTG to influence our strategy and ensure execution against agreed Manufacturing goals.
  • Ensure the customer is at the heart of everything we do, with a clear focus on increasing NPS scores and reducing the Customer Care contact ratio.
  • Manage all inter-site transfer and haulage requirements (where applicable).
  • Manage all cross-border logistics activities (where applicable).
  • Manage all freight forwarding activities (where applicable).
  • Manage all packaging orders and packaging inventory levels (where applicable).
  • Manage all carrier relationships, including trailer planning and booking (where applicable).

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with, or for, a 3PL is essential - ideally acquired within a B2C food or GM environment
  • Demonstrable experience of exceeding targets and optimising levels of customer experience and cost control
  • Experience of pan-European logistics is a benefit
  • Experience managing carriers is a benefit
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is preferred, but not required

Needed Capabilities:

  • Strong commercial mindset with proven ability to understand and operate in a fast moving and evolving business environment
  • Strong analytical skills - you are confident using raw data to proactively investigate trends and identify new opportunities.
  • Exceptional planning skills and ability to navigate changes to market conditions and peak trading periods.
  • A passion for the mission and for raising awareness of food waste and sustainability
  • You’re an excellent communicator - you understand when to speak and when to listen, and you are skilled in leading conversations and presenting at all levels

Our values:

  • We Win Together
  • We Raise the Bar
  • We Keep It Simple
  • We Build A Legacy
  • We Care

What we offer:

  • A rare opportunity to work in a social impact company (and certified B Corporation!) where you can see real and tangible impact in your role.
  • Working alongside an international community of users, partners and 1,100+ colleagues across 17 countries that are on the same important mission.
  • Personal and professional development opportunities in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
  • An inclusive company culture where you can bring your authentic self to work
  • A strong, values-driven team culture where we celebrate successes and socialise with colleagues who care to offer
