The R&D Test Systems Engineering (TSE) team has the responsibility of identifying, designing, constructing, and implementing scalable test solutions that utilize Tesla's technology to expedite product development cycles, thereby reducing costs and complexity. This unique team at Tesla supports the validation of vehicle, energy and robotics programs throughout engineering and manufacturing. We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer with multidisciplinary background to join our team designing hardware and software for advanced Test Systems for Tesla’s next gen products. They will be the primary interface with the technical experts of the subsystems. You'll be taking ownership of defining system level definitions and architecting those test systems that will be used by RnD teams primarily. You will also be in involved in entire product development cycle from design through prototyping to test and deployment. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate exceptional critical thinking, first-principles problem solving approach, excellent communication, and ability to learn deeply and rapidly. This engineer will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of electrical, mechanical, software engineers and program managers and will be reporting directly to Senior Manager.
