Factory Software team is responsible for building infrastructure solutions that allow the company to redefine manufacturing and production. We focus on implementing effective software advances, distributed fault-tolerant computing, and modern user- experience to manufacturing systems throughout Tesla.

We’re looking for an experienced Product Engineer for Factory Software to join our fast-paced manufacturing environment. An ideal candidate is technically curious, challenges the status quo, is an expert communicator, and feels strong end-to-end ownership and agency in their projects. The product engineer will be responsible for planning, de-risking, driving, and validating Factory Software efforts. They will be the interface between manufacturing, process, and operational teams, define technical solutions to problems identified and flawlessly execute them. The product engineer will manage the Factory Software stack from end to end, optimizing on existing integrations and devising new ones focusing on cost reduction, increased reliability, and scalability with 1st principles in mind. They will also manage the introduction of Factory Software to new Tesla manufacturing lines, train stakeholders on best practices, identify any gaps, strategize and ensure completion of production milestones.
