Job Description
The New Programs Engineering team works at the front-end of vehicle design and development, working in an iterative environment to study, simulate, build, and prove Tesla’s future generation of vehicles. The Sr. Product Analyst will be part of New Programs Engineering team responsible for the market success of current and future Tesla vehicles and mobility solutions. This position requires frequent interaction with our Vehicle Attribute, Engineering, Benchmarking, Programs, Finance, and Global Sales teams to ensure we derive the maximum impact of new products. Success in this role requires a solid foundation to identify market opportunities, create customer insight and evolution, derive (competitor) product weaknesses and strengths, and interpret regulations/tariffs. You will be tasked to define feature sets, establish trims, and derive volumes by synthesizing these metrics using a multitude of data sources (sales data, internal customer feedback, syndicated studies of new vehicle buyers, customized new surveys).
The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. They must be able to balance depth and breadth with engineering requirements, market data, customer insight and develop algorithms to synthesize strategic proposals and present/defend them in working/program/executive meetings. Additionally, they must establish and maintain a professional working relationship with various internal teams.
