Job Description

The Spares Technician will be responsible for identifying spare parts, transacting parts into and out of inventory system, organizing and stocking parts in a variety of warehouse locations and transporting materials between warehouses. Spares Technician is expected to be able to execute instructions from the Equipment Maintenance Leadership and Spares Material Buyer to receive parts systematically and accurately, physically locate parts, quickly understand urgency, and needs of part to be able to shift priorities. Spares Technicians will perfunctory data entry tasks, create physical and systematic inventory locations for warehouse inventory storage systems, and will often perform periodic inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy. The Spares Technician is expected to work closely with equipment maintenance team, able to communicate daily progress updates, and be proactive in driving continuous warehouse and logistic improvements. Experience with material handling equipment and warehouse systems are preferred.
