The Field Applications Engineer will be responsible for bringing a broad range of general construction, residential PV, roofing and engineering skillsets and experiences as a part of the Solar Engineering Design organization. They will be joining a dynamic and innovative team environment to advise on best practices as they relate to PV construction and deployment. The successful candidate will be able to work within a collaborative team environment including Product Development, Technical Operations, Manufacturing Engineers, Operations, Training, Technical Publications, Supply Chain, Safety, Design and Sales to help solve complex problems and make recommendations. They will also be the driver of innovations through creative cost competitive solutions that maintain compliance with roofing industry's accepted methods and best practices.

In addition, the engineer will collaborate with their peers to prioritize, set- up, and perform tests, translating their findings into actionable insights for the design engineering team to consider. They will have the opportunity to bring new field-based product ideas and proposals to Tesla’s product development team for consideration.
