In this position, you will play a critical role in supporting the production and Engineering teams to ensure the seamless operation of wire harnesses in automotive systems. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and rework harnesses that have been damaged during General Assembly, providing key feedback on performance during trials and testing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs and improve processes, ensuring that each stage of production, from pre-production to Start of Production (SOP), runs smoothly.

Expect to be hands-on, utilizing your skills with automotive electrical systems, wire harnesses, and components. You’ll perform mechanical tasks such as soldering, use multi-meters for diagnostics, and work with engineering drawings to understand and implement electrical schematics. In addition, you will track issues, maintain data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Flexibility is essential, as the role may also require varying schedules as well as possible weekends to meet production demands.
