We are seeking a highly motivated quality leader to help continuously drive improvements to 4680 quality by leading and organization of highly talented engineers focused on gathering data from downstream customers, the fleet as well as building robust quality systems. Cell manufacturing requires orders of magnitude better quality than traditional manufacturing, the key to sustained success and scalability is a robust quality system. This person will build off the world class system Tesla has in place and continuously drive improvements to the system. They will also work with fleet analytics to build and maintain a model for product warranty and relative failure modes. This person is seasoned in manufacturing quality or reliability engineering for high reliability applications such as Li-on cells, medical or a similar field with several years’ experience.
