Job Description
As a Tesla Automation Controls Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing equipment and computer networks. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical/electrical systems, factory automation and industrial robots (Fanuc, Kuka, Motoman). A successful Controls Technician should have structured programming skills with the ability to adapt and learn languages such as python and SQL queries to report data in addition to plc code. You will work with experienced Staff and Senior controls and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment/network reliability while minimizing/eliminate downtime. Controls Technicians will work with facilities/design team to perform any network drop for any new lines/devices. In addition, these Technicians may wear a fall protection harness while working from heights or from a suspended position. Lastly, Controls Technicians will lift up to 50 lbs. and utilize other hand tools and power tools as needed.
