Job Title: : Head of Structured Finance
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (36.25 Hours per week)

Location: Flexible, we could support hybrid working from either our Blackpool, London or Manchester office. (Some travel / collaboration to other offices will be required)

Tandem is building a versatile and dynamic Treasury team which will allow the Bank to achieve its growth plans in a prudent and sustainable way. As the Head of Structured Finance, you will play a central role in developing and executing the Bank’s securitisation strategy and issuance plans; working closely with external and internal stakeholders to support timely and effective completion of planned transactions.

This is an important role within the Bank with responsibility for driving the execution of key strategic elements of the Tandem’s medium term plan. We are looking to recruit someone with strong experience and understanding of public and private securitisation issuance and capital markets with an ability to manage key stakeholder relationships (including securitisation investors, investment banks and the Bank’s Board and shareholders).

Your Impact: Building a greener tomorrow

• As the Head of Structured Finance at Tandem your focus will be:
• To lead and manage all key aspects of the Bank’s securitisation issuance and structured finance activities, including:
• Development of the Bank’s overall securitisation strategy and issuance plans to support the key objectives set by the Board and Shareholders
• Responsibility for the project management, structuring and timely execution of securitisation and structured finance deals
• Evaluation of structured finance options and transactions to optimise the Bank’s capital and funding efficiencies
• Management of key risks associated with structured finance transactions, including regulatory, legal and reporting requirements, with support from internal teams and external advisors as appropriate
• To develop and manage key external market relationships and internal stakeholders to support effective execution of the Bank’s structured finance transactions, including:
• Securitisation investors, investment banks, rating agencies and other external advisors
• The Board, ExCo members and shareholders
• The Bank’s lending origination, corporate development, legal, finance, treasury and risk teams
• To define and develop the Bank’s operating model and capabilities for managing structured finance transactions across the finance, legal and risk functions

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Strong experience and understanding of public and private securitisation markets
• Proven capability and track record of leading securitisation and structured finance transactions to successful execution
• Hands on experience of managing key external and senior internal stakeholders as part of transaction execution, including production of presentations for both investors and senior committees
• A good understanding of bank regulatory and legal requirements/ risks relating to securitisation and how to manage them effectively
• Strong numerical skills and understanding of corporate finance analysis and evaluation techniques

It would be great, but not essential if you have:

• Experience of managing structured finance transactions within a banking and treasury environment
• A strong understanding of bank secured and unsecured lending products
• Experience of executing, negotiating and managing loan sale and forward flow transactions
• Treasury/Accounting or similar qualification; ACCA, CFA, CertBALM
