About the Role:

As a ember of the Embedded Software team, you will be responsible for writing, automating, and executing embedded software test cases across the different e-mobility products within TAE Power Solutions. You will closely work with the function developers and Systems teams within TAE Power Solutions (TPS) on the development of test methodologies and automations to improve the quality of the software and the efficiency of the testing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing software requirements, architecture, and design specifications with regards to testability
  • Specifying embedded software test plans and test cases in close collaboration with the function developers
  • Automating the execution of test cases
  • Executing automated and manual tests on HiL and PiL
  • Creating test reports and analysis, tracking defects and reporting
  • Assisting with problem resolution investigation and testing
  • Developing test methodologies and engineering test procedures

Required Education & Experience:

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering or Science related discipline as a minimum
  • Two or more years of automotive testing experience at a component level, in an OEM, Tier 1 or Engineering Consultancy, for production or R&D programmes
  • Previously authored test documentation (e.g. test plans and specifications, test reports)

System or Knowledge:

  • Hands on experience with tools such as CANape, CANalyzer, CANoe, INCA and dSpace HiL
  • Experience of programming and/or scripting language development for test systems (e.g. Python, CAPL, MATLAB)
  • Knowledge of automotive communications protocols (e.g. CAN, CAN-FD, Flexray, UDS, OBD, J1939, etc.)

Desired:

  • Knowledge of working with ISO 26262 (Part 6-10 and 6-11) and ASPICE (SWE.5 and SWE.6)
  • Knowledge of automotive product development systems and project management (e.g. releasing, concerns, containments, gateways and sign off documentation, from concept to launch completion)
  • Use of MATLAB Simulink
  • Testing experience of embedded software for xEV components (e.g. BMS, inverters, DC/DC converters, etc.
