About the Role:

We currently have an opening at our Foothill Ranch, CA (Orange County) for an Electrical Drawings Engineer (Contractor).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize CAD software to create precise 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical and electrical systems, including control cabinets, switchgear, and power electronics.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand project objectives and provide valuable input on optimizing design solutions.
• Apply your proficiency in sizing electrical system, auxiliary power, and conducting CFD analysis to ensure efficient thermal management and optimal performance of electrical components.
• Incorporate design considerations for manufacturing at scale, including material selection, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability improvements.
• Work closely with partners to provide input and design modifications that streamline production processes and enhance product quality.
• Revise and update CAD drawings as needed, keeping track of design changes and version control.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing design-related challenges.
• Coordinate the production of drawings, documentation, manual, and reports.

Required Education & Experience :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical and Electrical CAD Drafter.
• Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles and their application in design projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
