Job Description

The position

Sympower is looking for a talented BESS Program Manager to join Sympower’s Market Strategy team. Our headquarters are in Amsterdam, but there is the option of working remotely with flexibility regarding location.

What you will do

BESS (battery energy storage systems) has been recognized as a strategic segment for growth for Sympower in the coming years. Given the projected influx of BESS projects across Europe and the substantial impact they are expected to have on flexibility and energy markets, Sympower is working to refine our value proposition and offering towards BESS customers and to grow the share of BESS on our portfolios.

The BESS Program Manager responsibilities will be a blend of the 3 types of activities sketched below with a focus changing over time depending on the needs:

  1. Developing BESS business case model & support commercial BESS pipeline
  2. Lead the modelling of Sympower's BESS business cases across key target markets
  3. Validate the business value of BESS opportunities and contribute to the strategic decision-making process
  4. Assist the Commercial team in managing inbound BESS customer opportunities with business modelling and contract valuation
  5. Leading strategic analysis to shape further our BESS offerings to scale across different geographies
  6. Deliver insights into market trends to support our product strategy
  7. Exploring partnerships and merger & acquisition strategies for Sympower with BESS companies/service providers
  8. Project managing BESS strategic deals: from signature to delivery
