The Treasury Manager Position

Sunnova Energy is seeking a Treasury Manager to support the company’s ongoing treasury, financing, and cash management activities. Sunnova utilizes a variety of financing structures to efficiently monetize the solar project-level cash flows and federal tax benefits through third-party investors. The focus of the Treasury Manger will be on Sunnova’s residential and commercial assets owned directly by the firm. Day-to-day activities will include allocating our assets into multiple open tax equity funds, managing constraints and investment objectives of each tax equity investor, maintaining detailed models to monitor portfolio performance, and forecasting future tax equity needs.

The Treasury Manager will work with a team of analysts to accomplish these goals. They will also interface directly with the tax equity investors for each fund. The Treasury Manager will also coordinate with other members of the Finance Team and communicate internally with Executive Leadership and other key stakeholders. This will include close interaction with colleagues working on debt financing transactions related to project assets.

The ideal candidate has a background in finance, accounting, or data analytics; is detail-oriented; has excellent analytical thinking and communication skills; can handle multiple objectives and constraints; and has an aptitude for complex financial modeling.

· Optimizing the tranching process by utilizing a team of analysts as well as proprietary technology solutions.

· Works closely with Finance Team members, banks and other investors, and internal and external stakeholders to achieve the objectives of each tax equity fund and related debt financing

· Provides analysis for recent trends in the tranching process as well as forecasting anticipated future changes related to tax equity portfolios.

· Maintains financial models of tax equity partnerships over 25-year investment horizon.

· Produces consistent and detailed analysis for the benefit of other Sunnova team members.

· Other duties as assigned.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Ability to research, identify and solve problems independently or with minimal assistance

· Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with executive management, colleagues, and external stakeholders clearly and concisely

· Comfortable with ambiguity; ability to work well under pressure and within short time constraints of a complex, integrated business environment

· Efficient time-management, self-discipline, and ability to prioritize are essential
