Job Description

Position Overview:

Solid Power is seeking a Production Operator to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. The operator position will work with the team to make quality electrode powder products that feed into the solid-state battery production line. This position is part of a new group within Solid Power focused on small-scale production of internally developed technology with tremendous growth opportunity.

Job Duties

  • Document and follow standard operating procedures for Solid Power’s production equipment.
  • Maintain production equipment, work-space, and dry room in proper working conditions by following provided maintenance schedules.
  • Be able to function effectively in a safety driven environment with product quality being a tremendous focus.
  • Contribute to SOPs, CPs, and WI as well as help to drive towards 5S in production areas.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Work with other departments and team members

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience in a powder production environment with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience working with hazardous materials, dry powder processes, and wet chemical/slurry and solvent-based operations.
  • Clean room experience is a plus.
  • Experience running milling equipment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • The candidate must be responsible and self-motivated, with a history of stable employment and performance.
  • The candidate will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable wearing the required safety PPE daily including full-face respirator, hair net, gloves, safety glasses and Tyvek suit.
  • Hard work, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new things will help the candidate excel in this position.
  • Dependability is a must.

Hourly Range: $20.00 - $28.00/hour
