Job Description

Skeleton's Engineering team is looking for a driven

Mechanical Engineer (Energy Storage Systems)

with the vision to match our ambition.

In this role, you would be part of our Mechanical engineering team focusing on creating deliverables for energy storage systems and contributing to building the competency for electrical system design to the team.

Your tasks in the net zero journey:

  • Create deliverables for energy storage systems according to the development process, on a project basis.
  • To understand and ensure the fulfillment of customer requirements with design solutions.
  • Study standards and requirements to assess their applicability to project or products. Document the results.
  • Contribute to the mechanical team competency buildup for electrical system designing.
  • Participate in product design and process risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Build prototypes and perform testing to validate design solutions.
  • Offer technical consulting to team members and external partners.
  • Communicate with component suppliers, external consultants, and companies to find suitable solutions.
  • Support project management in customer discussions.
  • Co-operation with procurement team to ensure that design meets target cost.
  • Keeping up to date with company processes and their updates.

Requirements

We don’t expect to master it all. At Skeleton, you’ll have the support of the team and we work together to achieve our goals. However, there are requirements you should be able to fulfill to succeed in this role:

  • Successfully completed studies in Mechanical engineering field.
  • Industry experience of 5 + years in Mechanical engineering.
  • Have designed electrical systems (from mechanical perspective), not only individual components.
  • Experience with Electrical storage systems/Electrical Engineering/Power Systems/Electric Grid Solutions-
  • Well-seasoned to work with SolidWorks.
  • Experience with PDM systems.
  • Understanding of electrical
  • Acquaintance with development processes.
  • Capability of using hand- and power tools.
  • High proficiency in technical writing.
  • Understanding of quality tools (DFMEA, Significant characteristics etc).
  • Analytical thinking to solve problems.
  • Focus on processes and structure of work, can work well under pressure and keep track of time management.
  • Ability to work independently but being a good team player and colleague as well.
  • Have fluency in English.
