Role:

Rystad Energy is looking for an analyst to work in London as part of our Oil and Gas team and contribute to the greater North Sea research team. Your task will be to survey upstream activity in the United Kingdom and to provide our clients with leading and relevant intelligence. We are looking for candidates with strong analytical skills regardless of educational and professional background. Candidates will be required to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines and be able to juggle multiple priorities.

The Oil and Gas team is part of the analyst department in Rystad Energy and is responsible for maintaining and developing our database products within the Oil and Gas space. The work consists of collecting and analyzing data, writing reports and regular narratives, and presenting to our clients. This will give you a deep understanding of the regional and global oil and gas industry and you will work in close collaboration with our consultants and programmers, as well as our business developers. No prior oil and gas or upstream related experience is required for the position.

The successful candidate will become part of our global team of analysts working in the Oil and Gas department. All necessary training will be provided.

Tasks

• Obtain and analyze upstream data
• Model and value oil and gas assets
• Identify and determine the impact of external factors such as prices, M&A, geopolitics & policy etc. on activity
• Write insightful commentaries and participate in webinars on industry trends
• Contribute into the Oil and Gas team’s work to build the core UCube offering
• Support our external clients, consultants and business development team

Requirements

• 0-5 years of relevant work experience
• University degree in a data-driven field such as mathematics, engineering, economics or finance/business
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and written
• Fluent in English.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and independent, as well as a strong team player
