To accomplish this mission, Rondo is deploying low-cost, zero-carbon Rondo Heat Batteries to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and to significantly decarbonize industrial processes that are commonly thought of as "difficult-to-decarbonize". Our Heat Batteries charge from intermittent renewables to provide high-temperature, continuous heat for customers safely, reliably, at an unprecedented 98% efficiency - and at a cost point that is lower than any other method.

As the QHSE Sr. Manager, Construction Projects, you will spearhead the growth of our safety and quality program at Rondo in project execution. Collaborating with cross-functional teams with a focus on our regional project execution teams and operations/maintenance (O&M) operations. You will focus on quality, health/safety, and environmental assurance in this leadership role and drive high standards of behavior and performance across our operations. Your leadership will be instrumental in supporting our fast-paced technological progress while maintaining a strong commitment to QHSE stewardship.

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to):

• Quality and Safety Assurance Lead internal communications and training initiatives to instill robust behaviors and culture throughout the organization.
• Implement and Improve Integrated Management System (IMS) for Projects Create, implement, and enhance the IMS to ensure policies, procedures, and work instructions are defined to support project execution and consistent among business regions.
• Project and O&M QHSE Team Leadership: Grow the talents for a team of site QHSE professionals to ensure effective implementation of quality and safety assurance and controls at project sites (construction, operation, maintenance (O&M)).
• Data-Driven Reporting: Develop programs to track and enforce action close-out with key dashboards for senior managements on leading-lagging indicators of safety.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regional and local site HSE regulations.
• Incident Response and Learning: Lead incident response efforts. Hands-on leadership of investigations (e.g. 5WHY, RCA) delving into system and cultural causes.
• Project planning for QHSE: Ensure inspection/test plans are defined that meet customer requirements and drive compliance to Rondo Energy design requirements.
• Lessons Learned/Continuous Improvement Leadership- leverage project experience and data reporting from across our project execution sites to drive process improvement and productivity gains.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams. Collaborate with Project Delivery, R&D, Engineering, and Facilities teams to integrate safety measures seamlessly into operations.

What You Will Bring:

• At least 15 years of both Quality and HSE experience, preferably in EPC construction projects or manufacturing environment, demonstrating leadership in managing QHSE teams.
• Prior experience working in building and leading a quality or HSE organization structure with direct reports working across geographic regions.
• A track record of success standardizing & executing quality and safety processes (from issue identification to action close-out) across organizations and projects.
• Ability to lead investigations using state-of-the art approaches such as Causal Learning, Root Cause Analysis, and other methods of incident investigation.
• Deep knowledge of federal and state safety laws and standards
• Participates and ensures QHSE engagement in HAZID / HAZOP, Management of Change regarding product, process, health/safety, and environmental risk reductions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address quality/HSE challenges creatively and proactively.
• This role requires up to 25% travel including periodic international sites.

The annual salary range for this role is $160,000-$180,000. This role will be based in Houston, TX and will require up to 25% travel both domestic and international. The role is eligible for Rondo's excellent benefits listed above plus additional compensation in the form of equity. Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidates' diverse sets of skill levels and experience.
