Role Summary This role is a specialist role supporting the roll out, training and deployment of PLM Systems Manufacturing toolsets to the Manufacturing and Process Engineering team. This person will be responsible for ensuring smooth running of LaunchpadOT - the toolset which will drive MES information for GA, while simultaneously planning and deploying the toolset to other shops within Normal. This role will also be expected to interact with production change management as a 3DX subject matter expert to assist and train manufacturing teams. Responsibilities Conduct thorough reviews and testing of PLM systems by leading User Interface, User Experience and User Acceptance Testing for new internal toolsets facing Manufacturing production. Streamline processes and implement best practices by developing automation tools and software scripts to enable rapid design of the next generation assembly lines and processes with a high level of detail & precision, including construction planning validated in a virtual environment. Work with IT developers and cross functional teams on wider toolset engagements representing departments within Rivian. Be familiar with IT development processes and the ability to work closely with IT teams to implement system enhancements. Be Comfortable leading discussion surrounding toolsets, gaining agreement cross functionally on system requirements. Support Manufacturing and production user base in operating toolsets. Define and document standards and processes for the efficient management of Manufacturing 3D CAD data. Identify, evaluate, and make recommendations for the selection of new software platforms. Solve technically complex problems using fundamental, data-driven methodologies. Deep-dive operational dataset correcting and collaborating where required to Identify opportunities, challenges and gaps within Manufacturing Engineering Program datasets and work with existing team to provide continuous improvement. Lead the communication of business process guidelines to engineering teams across the company on designed tool improvements. Take charge of developing and delivering training programs for new or enhanced functionality within enterprise systems. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering Discipline, Computer Science, or equivalent 7+ Years of relevant applicable experience in Product Life Cycle Management and manufacturing process planning 7+ Years of experience reviewing and Testing PLM systems, across UI, UE, and UA testing Proven track record forging strong relationships with key stakeholders Ability to leverage data to drive operational changes across the business Proven ability to communicate cross functionally with various teams across the organization Detailed knowledge and experience working with Catia and Delmia within the 3DExperience environment Demonstrated ability to work in a constantly changing and dynamic workplace Equal Opportunity Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
