Responsibilities Develop best-in-class real-time 3D visualizations across a variety of applications, such as Rivian’s 3D ADAS Visualization Create progressive, intuitive, and reliable applications for the Rivian in-vehicle experience. Collaborate with the UX/UI design team to realize beautiful, cutting-edge designs. Test the in-vehicle experience in the lab and in Rivian prototype vehicles. Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing. Help drive research into new technologies and interfaces. Collaborate with other divisions in understanding and sharing technology roadmaps, portfolios, and intellectual property. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. 4+ years’ experience with software development life cycle experience, from requirements gathering through to implementation and maintenance. 4+ years’ experience with modern object-oriented languages: C++, Java, Kotlin. Python is a plus. Deep experience working with 3D real-time graphics. Experience with major game engines required (ex.: Unreal Engine, etc) Deep understanding of user-friendly, immersive, reactive user interface development. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Android application frameworks Experience working with 3D models, digital materials, and lighting, with an eye for photorealism Experience in game development is preferred. Automotive electronics and/or consumer electronics is a plus. Proficiency in authoring animations and interactive experiences Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $173,500-$198,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
