Role Summary The Sr. Engineering Technician III role at Rivian involves diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and software systems in prototype vehicles, requiring a comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems and repair procedures. The technician will be responsible for maintaining detailed records, performing routine maintenance on test equipment, and installing instrumentation in accordance with engineering specifications. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with engineers and technicians to provide high-level technical support, while also managing the transportation and test driving of prototype vehicles, often involving travel. A background in automotive electrical systems, hybrid/electric vehicles, and high-voltage knowledge is essential, alongside experience in minor fabrication and the ability to drive safely and effectively.
