Role Summary The International Accounting Manager is a hands-on accounting specialist responsible for executing and reviewing key elements of the financial close process for international entities. This role ensures that all ledger activities align with GAAP/IFRS standards, supports local statutory compliance, and performs complex reconciliations. The Senior International Accountant will be a critical partner to the Head of Global Shared Service Center, providing the financial precision necessary for accurate and timely global reporting. As an agile professional with a collaborative spirit, you will adapt swiftly to the ever-changing landscape. You will play a vital part in executing process improvements and upholding our commitment to financial precision and operational excellence, supporting the successful financial close process for our international entities. Responsibilities Month-End Close: Execute and review general ledger journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions, ensuring timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial close process for assigned international entities. Account Reconciliation: Perform complex and timely reconciliations of balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank, intercompany, fixed assets, accruals), ensuring all variances are investigated, documented, and resolved according to company policy. Reporting Support: Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly schedules and supporting documentation used for internal reporting packages (US GAAP) and external financial filings. Statutory Reporting: Coordinate with local external service providers (tax and legal advisors) to ensure the financial records and documentation comply with local GAAP/IFRS and statutory reporting guidelines in various jurisdictions. Local Tax Support: Assist with the preparation of local VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory filings by providing accurate data extracts and supporting documentation. Internal Control (SOX): Execute internal controls (SOX key controls) related to the financial close process and ensure all supporting documentation is audit-ready. Audit Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact during the annual financial statement audit and statutory audits, providing schedules, documentation, and explanations for general ledger activity. Process Enhancement: Identify and recommend specific improvements to the close process and general ledger management to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across international accounting operations. System Integrity: Maintain data accuracy and integrity within the primary ERP (e.g., SAP) and related accounting applications (e.g., BlackLine). Qualifications Education: CPA/ACCA licensed with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance operations, or public accounting, preferably within a multinational or high-growth company environment. Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of IFRS and/or local GAAP, with proven experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting requirements. Familiarity with SOX compliance is a plus. Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with a major ERP system (SAP experience highly preferred) and financial applications such as BlackLine or Concur. Skills: Highly proficient in spoken and written English. Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams globally. Mindset: A proactive, "doer" mentality with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
