Role Summary Internship Term: Summer 2025 Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between Fall 2025 through Spring 2027. As a Product Designer intern at Rivian VW Tech Company, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape features that directly drive the vision of our applications with diverse business partners and personas. Your contributions may include refining our design system across different platforms or collaborating on product features that drive usability and innovation. Responsibilities Take full ownership of designing end-to-end solutions for impactful automotive SaaS features, ensuring rapid delivery. Partner with product teams to uncover and address user and business needs specific to the automotive industry. Collaborate closely with engineering teams to guarantee seamless, high-quality implementation of designs. Develop user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to bring features to life. Engage in weekly design critiques and engineering standups to refine ideas and ensure alignment across teams. Qualifications Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree at an accredited university. Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in product design, human-centered design, UX design, interaction design, or similar. A strong portfolio demonstrating a clear design process, problem-solving abilities, effective interaction design, visual design, and communication skills. Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with its design and prototyping features. Capability to quickly prototype ideas to illustrate and validate design concepts. Self-motivated with a strong initiative and a passion for learning and growth. The ability to simplify complex problems to meet goals effectively. Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Internships: The range of pay for internships is 25.00-51.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law. Rivian provides robust wellness benefits, and a medical insurance package for interns, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
