Role & Opportunity

At this pivotal point in company growth, RISE™ is looking for a passionate and team-oriented Senior Electrical Engineer to join us in shaping the future of heavy duty linear actuation and heavy machinery. This key team member will bring proficiency in controls applications and power electronics, emphasizing schematic capture and layout using Altium Designer. This role will require a blend of independent work and effective collaboration within a growing team, with the potential to take on leadership responsibilities as the company scales.

In This Role You Will:

  • Design PCBs for various applications, focusing on motion control, sensing, and communication
  • Lead system design by translating product and engineering requirements into detailed design documents
  • Execute schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer
  • Review and document proposed RISE™ Cylinder applications
  • Conduct board and system-level electronics tests for validation and setup
  • Define and implement team processes to support effective communication and scalability
  • Conduct electronics assembly and modification when necessary
  • Enhance and manage component libraries in Altium, contributing to standards documentation
  • Participate in manufacturing processes, including test design, vendor qualification, and quality assurance
  • Provide training and mentorship, and foster a culture of growth and collaboration among team members
  • Assist in engineering-related recruitment and hiring processes

Requirements

Ideally You Have:

  • 7-10 years of experience in electromechanical systems design, prototyping, and validation, including electric vehicles, robots, or similar machinery
  • Extensive background in electronic design, encompassing PCBs, wiring harnesses, and systems for controlling electromechanical devices
  • Proven experience in vehicle integration and debugging, ensuring seamless functionality within complex systems
  • Proficiency in establishing and maintaining vendor relationships
  • Involvement in the full product lifecycle, from development to market delivery
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a dynamic, high tech, startup environment
