About the role

This position is for the Senior Android Engineer within Revel’s consumer experience team. On this cross-functional team you will collaborate closely with a product manager, a designer, and engineers (backend, frontend, iOS) to ship features seen by thousands of people every day. As the sole Android engineer on the team you will be responsible for all things related to the Android app: technical strategy, release lifecycle, maintenance, and feature implementation.

Technical Requirements

  • 2+ years of developing Android applications with active users
  • 4+ years experience building real world applications (native, web, APIs, etc)
  • Experience with Kotlin, MVVM, LiveData and Flows
  • Experience developing apps with extensive API touch points
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party SDKs, like Google Maps
  • Experience managing an Android app listed on the Play Store

  • You are highly collaborative and excited to work in cross-functional teams
  • You are pragmatic and prefer simple solutions. You build for the problem.
  • Product-oriented - You care about the value you deliver rather than just the tech you build.
  • You like to work in agile(ish) environments
  • You strive towards continuous delivery
  • You have experience guiding technical direction of a platform or codebase

Nice to have

  • Experience working with geospatial data and mapping SDKs
  • Experience or interest in iOS app development in Swift
  • Experience or interest in cross-platform app development with React Native
  • Experience working with GraphQL APIs

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation range for this role is $150,000 - 190,000 per year, based on experience level. Posted salary ranges are reflective of NYC and SF market compensation structures.
