About Redwood Materials
Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.

You will be working in a startup culture.
Responsibilities will include:

- Enforce safety standards across the crew, including PPE compliance, lockout/tagout procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and job safety analysis completion
- Partner with the Production Supervisor to coordinate maintenance activities, communicate equipment status, and manage escalations during downtime events
- Work with the Maintenance Planner to ensure PMs are scheduled and completed on time
- Hold the crew accountable for complete and accurate work order documentation including notes, photos, parts used, and labor hours
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide direct, constructive feedback; recognize achievement and address areas for improvement
- Manage attendance, training compliance, and day-to-day performance for all direct reports
- Develop technicians technically and professionally to support their career growth
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture built on accountability, collaboration, and safety
- Efficiently allocate personnel and equipment to meet operational objectives
- Effectively manage conflicts within the team using fair and diplomatic approaches
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead experience managing maintenance technicians
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems in an automated manufacturing environment
- Experience with CMMS platforms for work order management, PM scheduling, and parts tracking
- Solid understanding of LOTO/OSHA requirements and permit-to-work systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality results
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
