Job Description

The Operations Field Manager provides support to the EVP, Operations and COO, as well as, the Operations Teams assisting in all aspects of RTS daily operations, including deliveries of equipment and repairs. The Field Operations Manager will assist operations and will be working directly with our clients at their locations to maintain customer satisfaction. All aspects of customer relationship development is essential, along with helping to on-board new clients. As part of this position – the Field Operations Manager will work closely with the sales team, Operations team and RTS leadership to ensure smooth customer transition, day-to-day operations and checks and balances of service issues. This role is required to assist with onsite client surveys, identifying specific requirements for equipment, installations and service delivery.

Additionally, the Field Operations Manager will be required to drive and/or operate RTS equipment on an as needed basis and in compliance with all federal and state regulatory agencies overseeing our industry. The Field Operations Manager will also be responsible for working in and with the centralized offices, assisting with and back up our dispatch, reconciliation and customer service teams as needed.

This position is located in the Washington DC area.

Other duties may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

· Manage the pickup, drop off and move containers in order to create efficient delivery of replacement containers and haul away of full containers, in order to meet high demand of volume related to large scheduled events at client locations.

· Manages RTS Equipment and makes deliveries as needed, including roll-off driving and backing up the Field Operations Support Driver.

· Work with and manage high profile clients to prepare for large volume events and prepare detailed service plans, including coordinating with haulers, operations, sustainability and sales teams.

· Assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.

· Creates, distributes, and closes-out customer tickets daily regarding equipment with direction from the operations team.

· Maintains and distributes department related information as needed – including stickers and information and posters.

· Communicates with the EVP, Operations, COO about operations and/or dispatch issues.

· Assists in the implementation of operational projects as needed.

· Communicates with customers about service issues as needed.

· Assist sales and operations leadership by attending client site surveys for both new and existing customers, in order to assess operational service delivery needs, equipment and install requirements.

· Report to leadership on site logistics requirements and needs with appropriate images, graphs and detail.

· Assist with detail waste audits as needed.

· Communicate with the operations team about scheduling and work assignments as needed.

· This position will require flexible work times, including early mornings and/or late evenings and must be flexible to work on weekends on an as needed basis. In an effort to maintain work-life balance, the company will also make every effort provide flexible time off during each work week.

Education and Experience

· Education: Bachelor Degree Preferred

· High School Diploma with 5 years operations or logistical experience

· Experience: At least 3-5 years in customer service, dispatch type roles in a fast-paced operation position strongly preferred

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

· Knowledge of waste, recycling, compost and other waste related issues a plus.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Capable of working with minimal supervision.

· Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

· Detail oriented and organized with proven experience in simultaneously managing multiple projects.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

· None required – but knowledge of waste management and environmental science a plus.

· CDL Required

· LEED Certification – desirable
