At Rabot Energy, data isn’t just a byproduct — it’s the foundation of everything we build. From optimizing green energy consumption to enabling dynamic pricing and smart charging, data drives our decisions, our products, and our impact.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll design and scale the pipelines and infrastructure that power Rabot’s intelligence layer — turning complex energy and customer data into meaningful insights. You’ll work cross-functionally with Data Analysts, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure our data is accurate, reliable, and always ready for action.

This is an opportunity to shape the backbone of a fast-growing energy tech platform — and make sustainable energy smarter, cheaper, and more accessible for everyone.

  • Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and workflows that power analytics and product features.
  • Design and implement robust data models and schemas for both analytical and operational use cases.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure accessibility, performance, and integrity of data.
  • Optimize storage, processing, and orchestration using modern data frameworks and cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure data quality by implementing validation, monitoring, and testing frameworks.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices for data: CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automated documentation.
  • Scale the platform for real-time and batch processing as Rabot expands across products and markets.

Must-Have Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or backend data infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT orchestration frameworks (e.g. Airflow, Dagster).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift).
  • Experience working with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and agile teams.
  • Fluency in English
  • Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience with Kubernetes (k8s) and Argo CD.
  • Exposure to streaming or real-time data systems (e.g. Kafka, Pub/Sub).
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Metabase, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Awareness of data governance, security, and compliance in production systems.
  • Interest or experience in energy data, IoT, or EV charging ecosystems.

  • You’ve built and optimized core data pipelines supporting both product and analytics workloads.
  • Our data platform is more scalable, stable, and observable — with measurable uptime and quality improvements.
  • Data stakeholders (analysts, PMs, engineers) rely confidently on the datasets you’ve designed and documented.
  • You’ve introduced new best practices or automation that improved data delivery speed or quality.

  • You’ve become a trusted technical partner in shaping how Rabot builds and manages data at scale.

At Rabot Energy, we believe in autonomy, collaboration, and purpose. You’ll join a dynamic, international team that values open communication, shared learning, and ownership over hierarchy.

We move fast, experiment often, and make decisions based on data and impact. Everyone has a voice here - and the freedom to shape how we grow.

  • Be part of a mission-driven company shaping the future of green energy in Europe
  • Work with modern technologies and a talented, passionate engineering team
  • 100% established and transparent career framework
  • Backed by top investors (HV Capital and Bosh), €30m+ in funding
  • Enjoy flexible hybrid work, with up to 2 remote days per week
  • Access to learning, development, and well-being programs, including Urban Sports Club membership
  • Flat hierarchies, quick decisions, and space to make a real impact
  • Workation: 2 weeks per year from anywhere in the EU
  • Extra holidays on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve

For all our positions, we are open to providing flexible work arrangements to accommodate the unique needs of each individual.
