Position Description

For the Electrical Engineer who wants to put their inventions into production. Pure Watercraft, a Seattle startup company, is building high performance electric propulsion systems for watercraft. Invention and engineering are at the core of what we do. We are seeking an electrical engineer as a key member of the team bringing this vision from concept to production, as we design what is essentially an electric vehicle for the water.   • Location: Seattle, WA
  • Salary range: $80K to $120K

What You'll Mostly Do

  • Perform all aspects of electrical hardware design and verification
  • Bringup and validate new designs
  • Assist with transition from engineering prototype to production
  • Procure, assemble, and test prototype hardware
  • Develop bill of materials for prototype and volume manufacturing
  • Develop product test plans/procedures
  • Write firmware for testing and development
  • Work with software/controls and mechanical engineers to ensure successful integration.

What We Look For First

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, in English.

Bonus Superpowers

  • Experience with system level design, including circuit design, system bring-up, integration, and debug of high and low voltage systems.
  • Experience with multiple domains, including power, digital, analog, high voltage, and wireless.
  • Experience or interest in electric vehicle technology, including power electronics, battery management systems, motor controllers, and user interfaces
  • Experience with design for compliance with ISO26262, FCC, UL, CE, CSA, CCC, UL1998 and other certification bodies
  • Experience developing products for GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, and cellular wireless systems
  • Experience taking electronic products from concept to production.
