As our Senior Food Technologist, your mission is to ensure the seamless development of ingredients that not only meet but exceed market demands. You are the team's spokesperson (POC), collaborating effectively with a highly motivated team to ensure clear and concise communication on behalf of the group. You will contribute to the dynamic growth of the company, exploring untapped areas in the world of feed and food ingredients.

• Lead and drive research projects to unlock the full potential of ingredients, optimize existing components, and spearhead the development of the next generation of cutting-edge ingredients.
• Provide invaluable technical expertise and support across various departments, including Commerce, R&D, Operations, and Engineering, contributing to a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Being closely intertwined with Business Development is imperative for this role, given that the marketing mix we provide for customers revolves around innovative ingredients such as alternative proteins and fats.
• Represent Protix as a technical expert in scientific events, establishing the company as a thought leader in the field.
• Play a pivotal role in the professionalization processes of the company, actively shaping and contributing to its growth trajectory.
• Efficiently manage stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, fostering positive collaboration and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Navigate through uncertainties, make informed decisions, and articulate a compelling vision for the food technology team, driving continuous innovation.
• Prioritize and oversee projects effectively, both within Protix and with external parties, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to meet strategic objectives.
• Demonstrate a high level of conceptual thinking in the design and implementation of forward-thinking food technologies, staying ahead of industry trends and technological advancements.
• Display proactive initiative in identifying and addressing potential challenges, as well as proposing and executing improvements in existing processes and technologies.
• Identify areas of overlap and interface between food technology, process optimization, and operational efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the company.
• Completed Bsc or Msc degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a closely related field
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in food/feed industry preferably with experience in proteins and fat, product/quality optimization and improvement (e.g. shelf-life extension)
• Preferable experience in new product development
• Affinity to work with novel ingredients and tackle undiscovered areas
• A forward-thinker, pro-active and taking the lead
• A proficient communicator
• Able to work multi-disciplinary and manage stakeholders
• Analytical with attention to detail
