We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Localisation Manager to join our team. If our mission is aligned with your values and personal goals, we want to get to know you!

At Plan A, you'll be working with hundreds of companies to successfully manage their net-zero journey and ESG reporting. We are looking for someone to:

  • Develop and execute a scalable localisation management system, defining and implementing automations where relevant and ensuring lean cross-functional processes for product, website, and content localisation
  • Build a glossary and localisation memory and support development of extended UX/UI localisation guidelines
  • Integrate language asset management, file engineering, and machine translation (MT) technologies
  • Implement and maintain robust quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of all English source contents as well as culturally relevant localisations in line with our language and brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to integrate localised content seamlessly into the user experience
  • Manage localisation budgets, schedules, and external vendors when necessary, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness
  • Analyse user feedback to continuously improve and optimise the localised content's impact and effectiveness

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in localisation management in fast-growing, internationalising companies, ideally SaaS
  • Excellence in setting up and optimising processes, enabling ongoing improvement and automation in a fast-paced environment
  • Established, sturdy network of localisation freelancers/agencies and experience in managing third-party vendors and contractors
  • Proven, in-depth technical expertise in mastering and managing CMS as well as design and localisation management systems and workflows
  • German native speaker with outstanding written and spoken language skills
  • Fluency in English with excellent copywriting/editing skills (esp. website, product)
  • Attention to detail, cultural awareness, and sensitivity to regional differences
  • Independent and reliable time, project, and stakeholder management
  • Hands-on mentality and ability to manage multiple projects in parallel

What makes you stand out (optional)

  • Good French skills is a plus
  • Network of website/product copywriters
  • Technical proficiency in utilising Generative AI capabilities

Benefits

  • Employee Stock Options (VSOP)
  • Discounts and benefits via the Plan A Corporate Benefits Platform
  • Access to online learning platforms (e.g. Masterclass, Master Plan) and online magazines (e.g. Sifted)
  • Monthly team activities, company on- and offsite, and weekly team in-person gatherings on a Friday evening
  • Flexibility to work remotely, in-office, or a bit of both
  • 28 vacation days per year, 30 days working-from-anywhere, plus annual educational leave and sabbatical leave

What you can expect from Plan A

  • Contribution to a bigger purpose! Push the needle on climate action by contributing to the success of our carbon management and ESG software!
  • We value collaboration over competition. You will become part of a cooperative and cross-functional environment, where we value sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • We are always growing and so are you. We support you with “MyPlan A”, your personalised career journey, in hitting your professional development goals and your vision for life.
  • Enjoy the perks of remote work but always feel free to join us in our offices in Berlin, Paris or London.
