Position Summary

Science professionals will work together to design scalable, dependable fermentation systems. The scientist accomplishes development goals with operational effectiveness and delivers projects on schedule. Scientist - II will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and quality departments to carry out transfer operations and fermenter batches in support of in-process sample analysis. Take part in the development and implementation of methods to improve the consistency and throughput of fermentation processes, the setup and commissioning of new equipment, and the translation of improved fermentation technology to the manufacturing scale.

What You Will Do

• Planning and execution of lab-scale fermentation experiments.
• Support operations of monitoring, batching, Fermenter preparation, sterilization, and turnaround; aseptic sample collection and processing, sample analysis and documentation.
• Communication of experimental results.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects/workloads.
• Operate laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain environmental awareness and follow hygiene and environmental procedures.
• To co-ordinate work with other functions/departments to achieve project objectives.
• Act as interface between associated project groups, including downstream processing, analytical development, technical project leads and manufacturing.
• Self-starter with good organizational skills; able to work effectively in cross-functional teams, root cause analysis, training and general communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education, Experience & Other Requirements

• MSc / M. Tech in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related discipline with 2-4 years of experience.

• Candidate must have excellent communication, organization, and collaborative skills, and demonstrated ability to innovate, troubleshoot complex systems and thrive in a dynamic cross-functional team environment.
• Candidate must be flexible, adaptable, and available to work on weekends or after normal business hours as needed.
