nth Bio, our enterprise biology platform, is the first of its kind to help partners of all sizes join us in creating a kinder, greener future through precision fermentation. nth Bio is focused on piloting and scaling our technology to partners across industries, including food, agriculture, pharmaceutical, biologics, textile, and personal care to create products in a new, sustainable way.

Position Summary

The scientist will work with cross-functional and quality functions and be in charge of running fermentor batches, supporting in-process sample analysis. Participate in the creation and application of techniques to increase the repeatability and throughput of fermentation processes, the installation and commissioning of new machinery, and the transition of improved fermentation technology to the manufacturing scale.

What You Will Do

• Support operations of batching, monitoring, sample analysis and documentation.
• Monitor and support end-to-end execution at lab and pilot scale.
• Operate laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain environmental awareness and follow hygiene and environmental procedures.
• To co-ordinate work with other functions/departments to achieve project objectives.
• Act as interface between associated project groups, including downstream processing, analytical development, technical project leads and manufacturing.
• Fermenter preparation, sterilization and turnaround; aseptic sample collection and processing.
• Communication of experimental results.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
