QA/QC Engineer

We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe. We are now looking for a QA/QC Engineer to join our Facility & EPC team!

Together, we have formed a joint venture, NOVO Energy, to power the next generation of pure electric Volvo and Polestar cars.

What you will do

You will be part of a newly started team and make sure that the company Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) - QA/QC activities are developed, set up and followed. You'll ensure high standards in construction. Reporting to the QA&QC Manager, you'll shape quality policies, applying industrial and manufacturing best practices and staying compliant with ISO standards and HACCP systems.

You'll conduct audits, investigate deviations, and lead root cause analyses. Your recommendations will drive process improvements, contributing to our commitment to exceeding regulatory standards. Collaborating with the QA&QC Manager, your leadership will guide the team towards a culture of quality excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated Quality Engineer to thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for construction project.
  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Preparing the non-conformity and coordinate with Contract department.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and non-conformances.
  • Inspect permanent materials and equipment to ensure they meet project requirements and obtain the documents from suppliers
  • Monitor the storage, handling, and usage of materials on-site to prevent defects and ensure quality.
  • Coordinate and oversee material testing and calibration activities.
  • Interpret test results and take appropriate actions to address deviations from specifications.
  • Coordinate any inconsistencies with drawing packages with the site supervisor.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar positions on construction projects.
  • Good understanding of Quality Specification and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of construction materials and related specifications.
  • Excellent spoken and written English is required. Other languages, Swedish among them, is meritorious
