Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Packaging and Logistics Planner. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the packaging planning process, coordinating packaging activities, managing inventory levels, and optimizing logistics operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products. Being also responsible for packaging claims processes and securing transport for the packaging from cleaning supplier to the factories. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, procurement, and logistics, to ensure smooth and timely delivery of products while minimizing costs and waste. The ideal candidate has a strong background in packaging planning, inventory management, and logistics operations.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Packaging Planning
-Develop and implement packaging plans based on production schedules and customer requirements.
-Continuously monitor industry trends and innovations to identify opportunities for packaging process improvements.
Inventory Management
-Establish and maintain accurate inventory levels based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and sales trends.
-Coordinate with logistics team to optimize storage space utilization, regarding packaging design changes etc.
Cross-functional Collaboration
-Collaborate closely with production, procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of packaging plans with overall business objectives.
-Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide insights and recommendations on packaging-related matters.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to packaging planning and inventory management, such as packaging costs, inventory accuracy, and stock availability.
