We are looking for a dedicated and driven Category Specialist Intern to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent, bold and passionate Direct Materials Purchasing team. By joining us, you will be a key player contributing to build one of the first large scale European battery factories.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the suppliers onboarding, including Due diligence and Sustainability analysis, samples negotiation and PO
• Prepare and issue the Request For Quotation and evaluate the suppliers feedback and capabilities, in collaboration with a category manager
• Contribute to the negotiations to the best possible Quality Cost Delivery Sustainability contractual conditions with suppliers to help achieve Best in Class competitiveness of Northvolt Programs, including localization in Europe
• Works tightly with the Category Manager to elaborate the purchasing strategy and drive the suppliers optimizations and develop a supply base that fits Northvolt’ s needs in terms of technology, quality, reliability, cost competitiveness, capacity, sustainability, security of supply and match to company values
• Collaborate with the other stakeholders: Purchasing project, Cell Design, Process Engineering, Logistics or internal clients in full consistency with projects’ QCD objectives, including risk assessment and mitigation, drives continuous improvement.
