We are looking for a driven Architectural Design Engineer with industrial background to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our central Factory Design team based in Västerås, Sweden. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing our factory blueprint and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About The Job:
By joining the team, you will be responsible for owning and developing architectural designs and models within the factory designs project, hands-on designing and drawing best-in-class facilities for battery cell manufacturing. Being the practical designer, “putting it all together”, in terms of architectural scopes of both building and site/masterplan nature. Expected to drive a design with emphasis on holistic balance and excellent technical height in terms of CAD/BIM modelling practices, you will be an internal champion within architectural design works, spearheading the practical ways of working and associated tools and procedures.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Developing holistically optimized factory designs for battery cell manufacturing as an integral part of Northvolt Blueprint Engineering, focused on concept and basic engineering phases. These designs can be off both building and/or site nature.
• Generate and deliver architectural drawings, models and associated metadata, in close coordination with discipline experts and technical stakeholders.
• Help develop internal toolboxes, libraries, and ways of working by pushing the frontier of modern factory design practices.
