About the role

We are recruiting Report Collaborators to support the development of a high-impact publication on Vietnam’s climate technology innovation and investment ecosystem. You can read about our report HERE.

We are seeking a highly organized Ecosystem Data Collaborator to strengthen the analytical foundation of the report. This role ensures that our climate tech ecosystem dataset is accurate, comprehensive, and academically rigorous.

This remote position is suited to candidates who enjoy meticulous desk research, structured data validation, and uncovering trends through quantitative analysis. The engagement is expected to run from March to April 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Intensive Ecosystem Mapping

  • Conduct a deep dive to identify and categorize startups, funds, and support organizations in the climate tech landscape
  • Expand and refine the national ecosystem database

Data Cleaning & Validation

  • Ensure consistency, categorization accuracy, and completeness
  • Cross-reference and cite all data sources in line with the report standards

Trend & Funding Analysis

  • Assist in analyzing quantitative funding data (and other data type when applicable)
  • Assist in producing concise analytical briefs to support insight generation
  • Flag data gaps and structural inconsistencies

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a background in Economics, Finance, Sustainability, or related fields
  • Demonstrate experience in research, academic writing, or data analysis
  • Time commitment: As stated in each role overview above
  • Are highly detail-oriented and self-directed
  • Have a strong interest in climate technology and the investment ecosystem

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Work closely with associates from New Energy Nexus Vietnam and RMIT Vietnam
  • Gain direct exposure to Vietnam’s climate tech founders, investors, and support organizations
